I’ve always been an avid lover of stories and world building. I grew up a cinephile. When I first met Justin he shared a script for a feature that read like a comic. Very stylistic, action packed, and built a fascinating world that blended the world of culinary and assassins.
I shared it with Carl (Founder/CEO of 247 Comics) and he immediately understood the cinematic tone and saw the potential in the world Justin built. We all worked together in adapting and expanding the script into a graphic novel. He brought together the incredible team with Creees and Will to bring the visual flare and now here we are. Ready to introduce it to you all.
Hope you enjoy Bladesmyth!

SYNOPSIS
A world renowned culinary chef who uses the job as a cover for his real work as an assassin for a historical secret society, uses his blade-centric skillset to find his son after he is vengefully kidnapped by someone from his past.
Dating back to the 1800’s in a time when America was still finding its way. society reached a point when order was needed because it fell into orderless times. The goal of a lot of organizations of that era like the Freemasons was to achieve power and influence by any means necessary.
The Bladesmyths, during that time, were created to service that ambition by making food and blades. They were simple knifemakers and cooks paying homage and tribute to mankind’s first tool in the kitchen, but also its first weapon on the battlefield. But things changed when the first Bladesmyth leaders realized their instruments were being used for mass death and destruction against innocent people.
That’s when they broke away and formed their own code of conduct. They became assassins that served the common people and protected them from every kind of society’s evil: criminals, gangsters, killers, the corrupt. The lowest of the low, but also the highest of the high.
As the world changed and the ways of weaponry moved towards guns and cannons, the Bladesmyths remained steadfast in their beliefs that the Blade would always be mightier than any other weapon in existence. Some started to believe this methodology was outdated and proceeded to use guns on their missions, while some stayed pure and true to the Blade.
The resulting conflict fractured all the various Bladesmyth societies around the world. Some factions dismantled, some split off and went their own way, while others remained together and unified in their original beliefs and continued to live on in service of the Bladesmyth name.

Like a vengeful spirit from out of the past, Garrote slips into Loren’s life and wreaks bloody havoc, first attacking him with no warning in his own restaurant, then going after Loren’s son and making him disappear.
